Albert Einstein once said "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything one learned in school"  and this is the mission of the CGC.  This aim is fulfilled by the office of the Dean Academics. It is responsible for the academic program and for supporting the faculty and staff who bring that program to life. This is done by proper academic planning, job allocation and scheduling of classes. Further strengthening academic programs and designing curriculum that respond to student and job market needs/opportunities is done by organizing special lectures/seminars by distinguished visiting professors/scientist from various university and industries as well as arranging special classes for imparting technical  education and personality development. Meritorious students are given scholarships in form of cash and books for each semester. For weak students extra classes are arranged so that they do not lag behind in their subjects. We also provide the students with confidential counseling and resolve their grievances. Apart from this, one of the main tasks is to attract and retain world-class faculty members because that will enhance the reputation of the colleges and to plan faculty workload and long-range professional development plans. This office also look for promoting and serving as a model for teaching professional achievement and professional service; maintaining good working relationships with faculty and administration in all  academic and non-academic areas; maintaining effective communication between students, faculty and college authorities. Also at this office we observe, supervise, and evaluate faculty, provide aids to faculty in the development and implementation of the curriculum. We conduct regular meetings with faculty, which deal with both routine college matters and with the exchange of ideas on issues of educational/philosophical interest and concern. The Dean Academics’ office serves as a consultant to teachers in matters of classroom management, teaching methods, and general college procedures. It also establishes programs for the orientation of new teachers, for in-service training of all teachers, and for the evaluation of classroom teachers, to ensure that teachers are familiar with and adhere to college policies. Confidential counseling to faculty is also provided to  resolve their grievances.
