The MBA Department of Chandigarh Engineering College and Chandigarh Business school held a National seminar on "Transformation of HR in the emerging Global Order" on 19th April, 2008 in Hotel mount view from 09:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Dr S.K salwan, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor PTU was the Chief guest and delivered the thematic address. Industry- Academics Interaction is the need of hour, says Chief Minister Badal
There is an urgent need to create a strong interaction between Industry and academicians for preparing specific curriculum based on the needs of Industry so that the students can be made employable. In Punjab, there has been a significant growth in the sector of education and now there is more need to focus on the development of technical & professional education. These were the expressions of Hon’ble Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal. S. Badal was addressing the students and staff on the occasion of Placement Day at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran.

Inter College Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Championship CEC won overall trophy in PTUs Inter College Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Championship and Table Tennis (Men) Tournament for the second time consecutively.
